For in Him we live and move and exist – Acts 17:28
Now-a-days people are independent, think independent and live independent lives. People are thinking that they can survive independently without God. But Paul is affirming that we can’t “live”, “move” and “exist” without God. In the beginning God has created the heavens and the earth; and He created plants, trees and animals for mankind. Not only He created, our Lord Jesus is “upholding all things by the word of his power”. God is keeping everything in order in this world so that we may “live”, “move” and “exist”. Without Him, we can do nothing.
Bible says that, “In Him was life; and the life was the light of men” – Jn 1:4 , not only God gave physical life but he gave us spiritual/eternal life. God is promising more than just a spiritual life “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people” – 1 Pet 2:9. Today, let us give thanks to God for our physical life, spiritual life and all eternal promises and blessings. God bless you.
