All we like sheep has gone astray… and the LORD hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:6
Psalm 23 starts with “The Lord is my Shepherd.” That must mean we are the sheep. Not some, but all of us are like sheep and we have turned in our own way.
Like sheep, we also are prone to follow. We follow the trend, we imitate the people around us in talking, in the way we look, even to the point of trusting bad advice, going with the flow. Cause we want to do things our way. We are stubborn like sheep.Without a shepherd, we’re lost our way. Jesus became our Shepherd.
The Father judged our iniquity as it was laid on the Son, as He gave His life for us, saving us from being eternally lost because of our sin. This is the message of the gospel! Father, thank you for being our faithful Shepherd. Please lead our ways to thy green pastures. In Jesus name. Amen!
