He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death. Revelation 2:11
Blessed and holy are those who have a part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them. He knows our afflictions and our deeds, hard work and perseverance, He says yet we are rich, For we do not belong to this world. Our riches belong to heavenly places. He should not be afraid when we are about to suffer in His name or when the devil will put us to test. If we are faithful, even to the point of death, He will give us the crown of life.
Christians are called little Christs. This world has persecuted and brutally killed many Christians for their faith, they may think that they are making a little Christ suffer like how the Christ suffered on the cross. They never realized that these little Christs will raise after the death just like how Christ raised from the dead. Second death cannot hurt the people who overcome persecution and sufferings and yet be faithful to Jesus Christ unto death.
Whatever it is your problem today, compare it with the suffering of Jesus on the cross for us, and his faithfulness to father unto death to save his children. Your problem will look much smaller, you can overcome it in the name of Jesus. You will receive the crown of life.
Lord! I love you. You open my ears to listen to you Lord. Give me circumcised heart and ears. Give me your instruction and guidance to overcome any situation even unto death to be faithful to you and to win the crown of life. In Jesus name!
