"Do not be afraid nor dismayed…for the battle is not yours, but God’s. – 2Chronicles 20:15"
This New Year is full of exciting promises and we all have received our individual promises from God. The above verse is a promise given to King Jehoshaphat when he was facing a threat from his enemies – an army of 3 nations. Like any person, he too was afraid and cried out to God seeking his intervention while admitting that they were powerless without Him. God heard his prayer and promised that He would fight the battle on their behalf, eventually defeating the enemies.
We may not be fighting a literal army in our lives. But, every day we battle against temptations, pressures and dark forces of this world. God is reminding us that we need not be afraid as we have His Spirit within us. If we admit our inability and ask for God’s help when we face struggles, He will certainly fight for us and Victory is OURS!!
