My mouth shall tell of your righteousness and your salvation all the day – Psalms 71:15
Righteousness is one of the characteristics of God. For humanity God’s righteousness was revealed through Christ Jesus. When Jesus died on the cross, he took our punishment on His body and imputed His righteousness into our life and that is the reason we are made right with God. We are not saved by self-righteousness (Our righteousness is as filthy rags compared to God’s righteousness –Isaiah 64:6) but by righteousness of God.
After being saved, the duty of the believer is to share his salvation experience to the lost world. William Carey after his salvation came as missionary to India because of it we have the Bibles in our regional languages. One man’s obedience and hardship brought blessing for many. Similarly, every believer in the body of Christ has a task to accomplish for the Gods kingdom to progress.
Where ever God has placed us, our life needs to be a testimony to God. Bible says, the fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise – Proverbs 11:30
Prayer: My heavenly father, help us to share the goodness of God with our friends, families, communities and in work place, make our life a testimony to God. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!!!
