Rejoice always

Rejoice always – 1 Thess. 5:16

When writing to Christians in Thessalonica Paul instructs them, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you”.  Christians rejoicing in the trial and suffering emulates the suffering which Christ underwent willingly.

Rejoicing in all circumstances is very difficult. But Paul was able to instruct Thessalonians because he learned to be content in every situation which led him to rejoice.

Bible says, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us – Roman 5:3

Prayer:  This is the day that the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. For the joy of the lord is  our strength. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!!!!
