“Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever” – 1 Chronicles 16:34
King David had pitched a tent for the ark of God and appointed some of the Levites to minister before the ark of the Lord and to continually sing praises. Today’s verse is a part of the Psalms which were sung before the ark of God.
The Levites sang praises to God by remembering all the marvelous deeds which He had performed on their behalf. They remembered His goodness and His faithfulness towards them and worshipped Him by giving all the glory and honor due unto His name.
As we enter the last day of this month of January, let’s take some time to ponder upon all the marvelous deeds which He had performed for us. With every breath that we are able, let us sing of His goodness, faithfulness and His mercies which are new every morning!
