Zion Calendar Verse – May 05, 2018
"Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good." Rom. 12:9
Paul is addressing Romans in this verse.
Evil and good doesn't mean what we don't like and what we like. Evil refers to anything that is not honorable in the sight of GOD and Good refers to the things which are acceptable in the sight of GOD.
We only know what is good and what is bad by Loving GOD and keeping his commandments. HE will guide us to reject evil(which is Wicked) and accept good(which is Christ).
Dear Lord: Help us to have an unaltered attention to the word of GOD, so that we "hate evil" and "carry out good" as believers in Christ. Amen!
