Thou art God from Everlasting to Everlasting!

“Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting.” Psalm 106:48

When God ‘blesses’ men, they are thereby helped and strengthened and made better off than they were before, but when men ‘bless’, God is not helped or strengthened or made a better off. Rather man’s blessing God is an “expression of praising thankfulness” and “exclamation of gratitude and admiration”. Genesis to Revelation records man’s relationship with Everlasting God. Man has limitations, one of the greatest limitations is ‘Time’. God is limitless, God is timeless in His own being. Before there was universe or time, God always existed, from everlasting to everlasting ’He is God’. If we yearn for our lives and our relationships to last forever, choose to have a relationship with Jesus Christ, God gives us an eternal promise that extends beyond the boundaries of time… an everlasting life.

Today if the Lord God of Israel is your God and the Lord of your life, let us join the psalmist to bless the Lord.

“Blessed are You, Lord God of Israel, our Father, forever and ever.

Yours, O Lord, is the greatness,

The power and the glory,

The victory and the majesty;

For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, And You are exalted as head over all.

Both riches and honor come from You, and You reign over all.

In Your hand is power and might;

In Your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all.

 “Now therefore, our God, we thank you and praise Your glorious name. (1 Chronicles 29:11-13)
