For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. 1 Cor 12:12
Apostle Paul used a human body to illustrate the Body of Christ. The different organs in a human body, work together to maintain a strong and healthy functioning body, and also displays character and personality.
Likewise, with CHRIST as the HEAD of the body, church is the BODY OF CHRIST. Every believer baptized with the HOLY SPIRIT becomes members of the CHURCH, each one called to carry out unique purposes, but fulfill the common goal, which is to display the wisdom, power and glory of Christ Jesus in this world.
As the Body of Christ, we are called to:
– serve Christ
– love each other
– to share the gospel
– worship together
Keeping our differences aside, being United in Christ and redeemed by HIS grace, let us all work together to honor Christ through our lives.
